Overview

Halong Bay is an ideal place for travelers who love snorkeling or scuba diving with ts tremendously diverse ecosystem, including both tropical evergreen biosystem and oceanic and sea shore biosystem. Especially, coral reef ecosystem is one of the most impressive features of Halong Bay. The Bay has up to around 120 hectares of coral reefs with not less than 100 species within the heritage.

For you information, the coral reefs in Halong Bay are largely concentrated in the areas of Cong Do Island, Van Gio Island, and Trai Cave. Snorkeling or scuba diving in these places, travelers can see sparkling life under the sea and admire a wide coral reef displaying a myriad of colors at the bottom of Halong Bay.

Hi, hoping to do snorkling in Ha Long Bay. My preference is to stay at a simple hotel and snorkek off the beach or rocks. I'm ok with ferries to an island, but don't want to be on your boat all day. I just hope to have nice snorkling a few times through the day. Do you have anything like that? I'm in Hanoi now, go Ha Long Bay sometime between Aug 6 - 12, got to be on plane Aug13.

Dear Paul, Thank you for your email. I am sorry that we do not have service like your request. We only provide tours with Halong cruise. You may go to Cat Ba island and as an agency or hotel there for the snorkeling activity. Best regards, Cindy
