Morning

Get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area (surcharge) and start a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau harbor. Embark on the boat and check in your cabin. 

Afternoon

Savor a hearty lunch while Hermes Cruise sets sail to Halong Bay. The ship puts anchor at Luon Cave where you can participate in kayaking or relax on a sampan boat rowed by a local to admire the scenery. Later, progress to Titop Island for swimming and hiking. You can immerse in the seawater, relax on the sandy beach, or climb up over 400 steps to reach the peak and watch the panoramic view of Halong. Early birds may want to join a Taichi class on the sundeck. Then, have breakfast and prepare some belongings for the day trip. Day boat picks you up at around 8:30 and moves to the deeper parts in Halong Bay. The first stop is Trinh Nu Cave area where you can kayak to discover the rocky mountains for an hour and a half.

Afternoon

Lunch is served on the day boat. Later, you will visit Me Cung Cave. Return to the mother boat and have free time until dinner. You can choose to join Sunset Party, Happy Hour, or cooking class, or simply unwind on the sun loungers on the top deck.

Evening

Enjoy a fusion set-menu dinner. Free time for night activities.

  • Children 11 and above must pay full fare as adult.
  • Peak season surcharge: Surcharge $50/adult and $40/child for Gala dinner applies if guests stay on board on December 24th and/or December 31st 2024 
  • On the second day you will travel on day boat and do not have access to mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon.

Dear Mari, Yes, we do offer transfer Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi airport. Please kindly consider 2 following options:

- Shuttle bus Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi center & connecting car to the airport: US$ 25 for 3 persons => You will reach the airport at around 15:30 - 16:30
- Shuttle bus Hanoi - Halong & private car Halong - Noi Bai Airport: US$ 110 for 3 persons => You will reach the airport at around 14:00 - 14:30

Hi There, I just had a couple questions. My boyfriend and I were looking to do the 2 day/1 night cruise Oct 22 2024. We will be coming from Hanoi and then after the cruise are heading to Ninh Binh. I see the transfer is included, but is that just to/from to Hanoi? Or is it possible to have one way be to Ninh Binh? Also, I just wanted to confirm what the itinerary was, as I had checked this site, as well as the cruise’s own site and it seems that they don’t match up. Thank you so much for your help. Stacey

The disembarkation time at the pier will be at about 11:15-11:30am and if you use a private car to go straight to Hanoi Airport, you will only be able to reach the airport by 14:00. Dear Ting, Please note that in case of bad weather and the cruise is not allowed to sail (the decision is made by Halongbay Board Management), please kindly find our refund policy as follows: 

1/ If the tour is cancelled in advance with prior notice, full refund will be made.
2/ If the tour is cancelled midway through, you will be charged for service already use (such as shortened cruise trip, or breakfast, or shuttle bus, whichever applies in specific case).

We want to go to Halong Bay on June 4 to experience the Queen Cable Car and Ferris Wheel. Can we use the Hanoi-Halong Bay shuttle bus in advance? 2. The cruise organizer can arrange to arrange the bus for you one day earlier, however, please note that they will drop you off at the cruise pier and you will have to take a taxi to your hotel. You can book hotels in Tuan Chau Marina which is close to the waiting lounge, or a hotel in Bai Chay area, which is around 20-minute drive. As I have checked, the Junior Suite connecting rooms are still available and our offer is US$ 740 for 2 Junior Suite cabins with free shuttle service. Here is my review of Ha Long Bay and Hermes ship: - Landscape: as expected, the view of Ha Long Bay was so picturesque that we didn't want to do anything else but watch it. - Bedroom: cleaned regularly, furniture was well-arranged. Blankets are soft and clean. - Food: includes Asian and European food. Dishes are delicious. Pastry with a little jam added - amazing taste. - Sweet and helpful staff: Special thanks to Bo for helping us a lot during the trip. - Day 2 schedule was amazing. The itinerary was well organized to ensure a balance between experience and relaxation. (However, we noticed that most cruise lines on Ha Long Bay do the same).
The tour guide was impatient with us. He often raised his voice and urged us to carry out activities. That's also the reason why we feel the schedule was rushed. Wifi didn't work during our stay. It wasn't until returning to the mainland that the situation got better. The boat didn't move until you checked out.

Private car service to the airport was very comfortable. The room has a great view of the bay. Meals are delicious and there is a great selection to choose from. We especially like squid fishing. It would be great if we had more time for it.
It would help if you were careful when choosing your room type and its suitable location (avoid areas near the captain's room because of loud noise). Facilities need to be improved, especially the bathroom floors. Activities were so rushed that we didn't have time to relax on the boat.
