Get picked up from your hotel (in or near Hanoi Old Quarter and not included in cabin price). Pick up time is between 8:30 - 9:00 am. Follow the newest highway connecting Hanoi and Ha Long. The road trip takes around 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Marina, passengers will be welcomed by hospitable staff at Orchid Cruise’s lounge. After enjoying a special cup of tea, around 12.15pm, Orchid tender will transfer tourists to the main boat Orchid Cruise.
Afternoon::After check-in onboard, you will receive cruise briefing and safety instructions. Lunch will be served in the luxury restaurant on board - as you savor the exquisite Vietnamese and international cuisines, the cruise will slowly head pass beautiful islets in Halong Bay such as Da Chong, Con Vit, and Gia Luan. Stop at Ba Trai Dao Beach area - one of the most beautiful beaches and pristine areas in Lan Ha Bay. Here you can enjoy kayaking and swimming in the crystal clear water of Lan Ha Bay.
Later return to our cruise to watch the amazing sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Cooking demonstration will be held on board, or enjoy our happy hour (buy 1 get 1) at our Bar.
Evening:Around 7:15pm, dinner will be served. Then, you can take a rest in your own room after a long day of interesting activities, enjoy the seascapes of the Bay at night or if you are into socializing, take a climb up on the top deck, try squid fishing, or watch a movie in the restaurant.

Early risers can enjoy the spectacular beauty of Halong Bay in the early morning and take part in Tai Chi class. After breakfast, tourists will visit Trung Trang Cave - an untouched cave nestled in the forested mountain on Cat Ba Island. Back on Orchid Cruise for check-out schedule from 9:45 - 10:00 am. A delightful brunch will be catered. Around 11:30am, the cruise returns to Tuan Chau Marina, tourists disembark and say goodbye to the cruise.

You will cycle along the village (or use an electric car) to explore the daily life of its fishermen. At 12:00am, lunch will be served.
Afternoon:In the afternoon, Orchid Cruise will bring tourists to Ba Men Temple - an untouched area for kayaking or relaxing on the beach. At 4:00pm, passengers will return to the main boat for resting and enjoying the seascape.
Evening:Dinner will be served around 7:15pm. After that, tourists can enjoy their free time onboard: admiring Halong Bay beauty on the sundeck, sipping a drink and making new friends at the cruise’s luxury bar, watching a movie, or trying squid fishing with staff.

- Trip cancellation due to bad weather in Halong Bay:
- The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. In such case, we will make alternative travel arrangement for you on request or offer refund in accordance with the cruise policy.

- From 30 to 11 days prior to check-in: 15% of total rates
- From 10 to 7 days prior to check in: 30% of total rates.
- Less than 7 days prior to check-in: 100% of total rates.

- Cancellation notice must be in written form and send to us via email. Refund will be processed between 5-7 business days.

- The FOC rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
- Children from 4-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate.
- Children 12 and above must pay full fare as adult.
- Peak season surcharge : Surcharge $45/person for Gala dinner applies if guests stay on board on December 24th and/or December 31st and Lunar New Year (16, 17, 18, 19/02/2026)
- Shuttle bus: $40/ adult and $30/ child round trip. Pick up point: at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or in front of Hanoi Opera House
- On the second day you will travel on day boat and do not have access to mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon.

1. The check-in time is approximately 11:30 AM - 11:45 AM. Since it takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to travel from Cat Bi International Airport (HPH) to Halong Bay, you should be able to check in on time if your flight lands at 9:40 AM.
2. Regarding the cabin options for 3 adults:
- Family Suite (3 pax): This consists of two Suite cabins interconnecting with each other.
- Suite Balcony (3 pax): This is one single cabin with one extra bed added to accommodate three people.

After disembarking, can a transfer back be booked back to Hanoi later in the afternoon?
Dear Angelene, Regarding your request for a later afternoon transfer back to Hanoi, we only offer a private car option at that time, which costs $90 per way for two people. Alternatively, you may prefer to book a taxi on your own as a more cost-effective option. Best regards, Helen

Is it possible for us to be picked up from Tam Coc and taken to Hanoi after the boat trip? How much would that cost?
Dear Martin Richter, Yes, we can arrange a shuttle bus from Tam Coc, Ninh Binh to Halong Bay for $18 per person. Regarding your return trip from Halong Bay to the Hanoi airport, we have two options available for two people:
- Option 1: Shuttle bus from Halong Bay to Hanoi center and a private car from there to the airport for a total of $55.
- Option 2: A direct private car from Halong Bay to the Hanoi airport for $100 per way.
