Day 1: Hanoi - Tuan Chau - Lan Ha Bay
Morning

Our driver pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi old quarter (surcharge) and start a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau Harbor. After doing the luggage check-in at the port, being transfered to Erina Cruise by a tender boat. Welcome onboard. Enjoy welcome drink and meet crew team in the safety briefing before the trip. 

Afternoon

Enjoy lunch while the vessel cruises to Lan Ha Bay, crossing uniquely shaped islets such as Con Vit islet (Duck Islet), Thumb islet. Erina Cruise drops anchor at a secluded area for swimming. You can opt to stay onboard, immerse in the jacuzzi pool or sunbathe on the sundeck. Then, back to Erina Cruise and join sunset party. A cooking demonstration will take place at 18:30.

Evening

At 19:00, enjoy a sumptuous dinner in the cozy and intimate space of the restaurant. After dinner, you can play games, fish squid, book a massage service (surcharge) or relax in the cabin.

Morning

Get up early for dawn or the Tai-chi lesson on the sundeck. Have a light breakfast while Erina continues to cruise to the beautiful bay. Stop at Dark - Bright Cave area - one of the most beautiful and tranquil areas in Lan Ha Bay. To explore the cave, you can choose a kayak or comfortably sit on a sampan boat rowed by a local. Return to the ship and prepare for check-out. After check out your cabin, back to restaurant to enjoy brunch. Back to Tuan Chau Harbor at around 11:30. Bus picks you up to go to Hanoi (surcharge). Arrive in Hanoi at around 3:00 - 3:30 pm.

Morning

Have breakfast and prepare some belongings before being transferred to a day boat for the day excursions. The day boat picks you up at 8:30 - 9:00 and progresses to the deeper part of Lan Ha Bay. You get on Cat Ba Island and start the trip to Viet Hai Village. Take a biking trip for around 5 km around the village, you have a chance to watch the dense jungle, enjoy the fresh atmosphere and meet the locals. Electric car is another option in the tour.

Afternoon

Back to the day boat. Enjoy a Vietnamese-style lunch on the day boat. In the afternoon, you have around 1 hour for kayaking. Then swim at one of hidden beaches in Ba Trai Dao area. Return to Erina cruise at around 16:00 - 16:30. Freshen up and relax. You can join onboard activities with new passengers, enjoy a tea break on the sundeck or simply watch the magnificent sunset on the bay.

Evening

Enjoy dinner. Free time for night activities.

Cruising Policy

  • Return Hanoi: 3:00 - 3:15 PM
  • The FOC rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
  • Children from 4 - 7 will pay an extra 50% of adult rate. 
  • Children from 8 - 11 will pay an extra 75% of adult rate. 
  • Children aged 12 and above must pay full fare as an adult.
  • Peak season surcharge: Surcharge $30/adult and $15/child for bookings on Christmas 24/12/2024, New Year 31/12/2024 & 1/1/2025, Lunar New Year (28 - 29/01/2025), and Independence Day (1-2-3/9/2025).
  • On the second day you will travel on a day boat and do not have access to the mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon (for 3 days/2 nights itinerary)

  • Cancellation by the cruise for reasons related to a situation of force majeure, such as government restriction or regulation, health, natural disasters, acts of God, etc., customers will be refunded the amount depending on circumstances.
  • If the tour has yet to take place, full refund will be made.
  • If the tour is ongoing, partial refund will be made. No refunds or exchanges can be made while the tour is ongoing and the customer decides to opt out. If you do not use any of the service, no compensation will be given for the unused portion of the tour.

We do not offer a direct bus to the airport, so after the shuttle bus drops off all guests in the Hanoi Old Quarter, we will help you arrange the extended ride by a private car to the airport. The bus will drop you off on the way back where the private car waits for you (2 drivers will contact themselves to take you to the airport smoothly and you will reach Hanoi Airport before 4:30pm as said). I would like to answer your questions as follows: (1) Yes, the shuttle bus will pick you up from your hotel if you stay in the Hanoi Old Quarter, the cost for a shuttle bus round trip Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi is $30/ person. Please let us know if you prefer a private car transfer. (2) The pickup time is around 8:15 - 8:45 am at your hotel. (3) After the trip, you will arrive in Hanoi at around 2:30 - 3:00 pm. Regarding the transfer service Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi, the shuttle bus costs $30/ person; the private sedan car costs $195/car - Max: 2 adults + 1 child; and the private MPV costs $205/car - Max: 4 adults. It was a beautiful wooden ship! Our President Suite was comfortable and spacious. Private balcony was a big plus. The staff went out of their way to provide us with enough vegetarian food and activities on time. Highly recommend this cruise for couples. Knowing that we were newlyweds they then prepared a honeymoon decoration for us.
Chaos at check-in and luggage transfer. Transfer boat was cramped and musty. Unclear trip information.

Spacious boat and beautiful landscape around. Food and drinks were great, especially cocktails on deck area.
Check-in staff were not as welcoming as the staff on the boat. We were charged a fee when paying by card as we didn't have enough cash, which wasn't informed in advance.

We had a great experience on Erina cruise. Booked 3 days/2 nights trip and realized this decision to be a must do when in Vietnam. The staff were very friendly and interactive. The restaurant was exceptional and served plentiful food and they also attended to my special requests for non-fat food. I will definitely take this trip again next year.

The kindness of the staff here was unbelievable, especially Kim and Jason. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom and a great view.
Buffet had limited choices and sadly, lacked Vietnamese food. Better food and included drinks would significantly improve our stay.

Erina made me choose their room because of the staff (I read many reviews). From the manager Andrew to Ken, the receptionist, and Cindy, my consultant, they were all fantastic and willing to work overtime for us. I wonder how hard they worked to create such a great vacation for us.
Buffet was noisy and chaotic, and we had to wait a long time in line before being seated. Splitting into smaller groups to eat could help solve this issue. More plates were expected.

Good location, perfect service, and great facilities. You should stay 2 nights to enjoy more activities like visiting the village, cycling, kayaking, and watching the spectacular sunset on deck. The staff took care of us from the first moment. We love Vietnamese food, and we still believe that one day we will come back here.
