Day 1: Hanoi - Halong International Cruise Port - Halong Bay
Morning:

Shuttle bus picks you up at your hotel at 8:00 and we travel to Halong by car for 3 hours. Along the road, you might see a lot of natural landscapes of Vietnam like lush green paddy fields, romantic rivers, and rustic villages. Arrive at Halong International Cruise Port in Bai Chay by noon and board Halong Oriental Sails. 

Afternoon:
Delicious Vietnamese lunch is ready after your room check-in while the boat is cruising around Halong Bay, through beautiful seascapes. The first excursion is to visit Sung Sot (Surprising) Cave - the biggest cave in Halong bay in around 1 hour.
 
The cruise moves to Titop Island for hiking and swimming. Then, return to the boat in late afternoon and enjoy Happy Hour with drinks at a discount and some finger food.
Evening

Kick off a new inspiring day with morning Tai Chi class on the sun deck. A light breakfast with tea, coffee and cakes is waiting for you after the class. Continue the exploration around Luon Cave. Choose a sampan boat for relaxing or a kayak to discover the cave on your own.

By 9:30, come back to the boat and pack up your luggage for check out. There is a farewell party in the dining room with a variety of delicious foods. Arrive in Halong at 12:00, and travel back to Hanoi by car.

Morning

Start a new day with much inspiration with the morning Tai Chi class and a cup of tea/coffee and light breakfast. Transfer to small day boat for kayaking to untouched parts in the East of Ha Long Bay. Kayak around and visit Dark-Bright area - a pristine cave with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.

Afternoon

Come back for lunch on the day boat. After lunch time, the boat moves to Ba Trai Dao Beach for swimming. Back to Oriental Sails and join onboard activities or relax in the cabin.

Evening

Dinner is served in the restaurant. The night is entertaining as usual with a different menu of delicious foods and exciting activities such as board games, movies and squid fishing.

  • Shuttle bus : $10/ adult and $5/ child round trip. Pick up point: at hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter or in front of Hanoi Opera House

  • More than 30 days prior to check-in: free of charge 
  • From 30 to 11 days prior to check-in: 15% of total rates 
  • From 10 to 7 days prior to check in: 30% of total rates.

Regarding your question, the shuttle bus only picks up and drops off at the Hanoi Old Quarter so you can take a private car/taxi from Hanoi Old Quarter to the airport then. We are sorry for our late reply as we are currently on our Lunar New Year Holiday. Please help me to find the vegetarian menu of Oriental Sail attached to your mail. Also, the cruise bus can only take you to the Old Quarter thus please kindly consider 2 options as followed: 1. Taking the bus back to the Old Quarter, then we arrange a private sedan from the midway to the airport at US$ 20 extra => You can reach Noi Bai Airport at around 3:00 - 3:30 PM. 2. Taking a private sedan => You can reach Hai Phong Airport at around 1:30 - 2:00 PM - the cost is US$ 45 or Noi Bai Airport at 2:00 - 2:30 PM - US$ 100. Dear Mr. Dave, Thank you for your inquiry! If you book your transfer with us the details will be as follows: (1) Pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter: 8:15-8:45 am. If you stay outside of the Old Quarter we can make some exceptions such as for Sheraton or Intercontinental Hanoi with pick up time at 8:00am; (2) Drop off after the trip: Cruise trip finishes around 11:30-12:00 and you will reach Hanoi between 2:30pm-3:00pm. Our bus can only drop off in Hanoi Old Quarter. If you wish to book a flight after the cruise trip please book one after 5:30pm to avoid rushing between places. OR you can fly from Hai Phong which is closer to Halong Bay. We do not offer a direct bus to the airport but our van can continue to the airport after dropping off guests in downtown Hanoi. The surcharge for this trip to the airport is $10/person and you will reach the airport at 4:00pm. I hope that helps! Melissa

Hi, we are looking for a 2 day / 1 night Halong Bay cruise and see that you do these on Oriental Sails. We are slightly confused by timings and transport to and from Hanoi. (1) Firstly, when you say bus transfer, is it a small, smart minibus or a big bus / coach? (2) We see that pick up from the hotel is 08:00 and we sail by 12:00, but then another part of your website says 12:30? (3) The time getting back alongside says 12:00 on Day 2 but you say that check out is 11:30? (4) Do we only pay a deposit at this stage?

(1) Oriental Sails uses either minivan or minibus for the shuttle bus and it depends on the number of passengers every day. (2) Please be advised that the time is just approximate. The pick-up time in Hanoi is between 8.00 - 8.30am and the boat will be boarded between 12.00 - 12.30. (3) You will check out at 11.30am but you will need to wait for the bus as the bus will need to go from Hanoi to Halong. (4) To confirm the booking, we only require a deposit of 30% of total payment. Hi, we are a group of 5 interested in your cruise package. However, is it possible for us to book 2 rooms with an added bed in one of the rooms for the 5 of us instead of having 3 rooms? And is Titop island included in the 2 day package? Thanks!

Dear Ziling, Thank you for your question! Please be advised that Oriental Sails has triple room that can accommodate 3 persons thus can you please let me know your travel date to check availability? For the itinerary, please note Oriental Sails goes to Bai Tu Long bay and Titop island is in Halong bay area thus it is not included for this cruise. A memorable experience! The location was fantastic. We love watching the islands when the boat is moving. The cave and the view from the top of the mountains were amazing. Should not miss! The staff was friendly and hospitable. Would recommend!

The tour with Oriental Sails was smooth although the spots were crowded and there were a bit too many activities. Food was abundant and of good quality. Our room was comfortable.

Oriental Sails was not a new boat but clean and well equipped. The excursions include majestic views such as Surprise Cave and Titov Island. It was very crowded too. Kayaking was nice.
