About Emeraude Cruise
Launched in 2003, Emeraude Cruise is the first yacht designed as a direct inspiration from the ancient cruising activity. Lying inside the establishment of Emeraude Cruise is an interesting story of its French owner, Eric Merlin who accidentally discovered the existence of a magnificent fleet of four single-wheeled paddle steamers, namely Emeraude, Perle, Saphir and Rubis, which operated in Halong and other regions of Vietnam from 1906 to 1945 from a black and white postcard he bought in France.
Unique in history, Emeraude Cruise has also made its own legend through its operation: the able hand of its captain, the luxury room and suites, the story about Halong that is told via its itinerary. A trip with Emeraude Cruise will not only spark light on the natural beauty, but also the past century of culture heritage of Vietnam.

Shuttle bus picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi, then get in the car for a 3-hours trip to Halong (transfer not included in price). Arrive at the harbor to check in at Emeraude Café by noon.
AfternoonStart embarking right after welcome drink and safety instruction. While you are contemplating the breathtaking scenery of Halong, the Vietnamese and International Buffet Lunch is ready.
Heading toward the first destination of the day - Titop Island where you can take a leisure swim at the beach or climb up to the top of the mountain to see the panoramic view of Halong bay. The trip continues to a pearl farm or kayaking (additional charge) before coming back to the cruise ship. HAPPY HOUR - Buy 2 drinks Get 1 Free is available at 17:30 - 18:30 at the bar. Enjoy Vietnamese cooking class and some complimentary nibbles on the sundeck.
EveningTake you free time for refreshment and bathing before enjoy another menu of Vietnamese and European delicacies for dinner. The rest time of the night is flexible for you to either integrate in social activities like board games with friends or exotic squid fishing with our tour guide.

When you get up to watch the sun rises on the sea, complimentary café gourmand is ready on the Sundeck. Yoga class is another indispensable activity in the early morning. After enjoying an energizing breakfast, transfer to a day boat (small boat) and cruise through Halong Bay to less traveled Halong Bay. On the way, stop to visit Luon Cave and kayak at Trong Cave Area.
AfternoonEnjoy lunch on the day boat. Then, visit Me Cung (Maze) Cave - the most ancient cave in Halong Bay. Back to Emeraude Cruise at 16:00. Rejoin the activities on board. Enjoy Happy hour: “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” at the bar and French-style Crêpes on the Sundeck.

- The cancellation decision is made by Management Board of Halong Bay on the day of the trip in case of bad weather conditions. In such case, we will make alternative travel arrangement for you on request or offer refund in accordance with the cruise policy.

The ship is a bit aged and needs renovation. The crew is friendly and hospitable. Nice scenery.
The bay view is gorgeous. We chose a balcony room and it is highly recommended. We spent lots of time watching the bay and enjoyed the cruise rather than the outside activities. However, it is definitely worth it. The crew was very nice, too.

Halong bay was magnificent. We did a 2 day/1 night cruise and things went smoothly. We were taken care of by helpful and friendly staff. The food was brilliant. The tour to Sung Sot cave, Titop island and kayaking was exciting. The cabin was small, but everything we need was provided. We will come back for the longer stay next time.

A recommendable experience. A nice stay on Halong Bay. The views were breathtaking. Many activities onboard and offboard were organized. Staff was always helpful to make sure we enjoy the trip. The food was served in buffet style and the taste was good.
Emeraude was a historic boat and we are happy that we have experienced a unique one instead of all other modern boats on Halong Bay. The service was perfect. Everyone was friendly and they were always attentive to details. The program was well planned and we truly liked our day trip on the second day. Thank you!
I liked this cruise because of its old style. Althoughthe size of the cabins is small, it was super clean and well-equipped, so we still felt very comfortable during our stay. We were very lucky when there were only 30 people on the ship that day. The service well met our expectations. The buffet meals were nice. There were quite a lot of boats around at night but I thought they cannot change that and it did not affect much our time here.
We will recommend our friends and families!
