Shuttle bus picks you up in your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area (if book our transfer). After arriving Tuan Chau Harbor, the tender transfers you to Amanda Luxury. Check-in onboard. The cruise manager gives a safety briefing while you enjoy a welcome drink.

Afternoon

Enjoy lunch while the cruise crosses hundreds of limestone islands and islets. The first stop is at Tra Bau area - the famous filming location for Movie Kong Skull Island in 2018. Here you will kayak to explore the rocky islands and enjoy the tranquil landscape. Then, back onboard to freshen up and get ready for the Happy Hour (buy 2 get 1 free), cooking demonstration and sunset party on the sundeck.

Evening

Early risers may try Tai Chi session and admire the quiet scenery of the bay from the sundeck. Enjoy breakfast before being transferred to a day boat for the excursions. Get on Cat Ba Island and start the biking trip or get in an electric car to visit Viet Hai village. This is a small village with traditional houses embraced by mountains and jungles.

Afternoon

Enjoy lunch on the day boat. In the afternoon, you will access Tai Queo cave area for kayaking. After that, the day boat proceeds to Ba Trai Dao beach - one of the most beautiful beaches in Lan Ha Bay. Here you can sunbathe, swim in the crystal water, or kayak around. Return to Amanda Luxury Cruise. Continue with onboard activities, or you can book a massage to rejuvenate your body after an active day.

Evening

Dinner is served. Relax onboard or join night activities.

  • Children from 4 - under 11 will pay an extra 75% of adult rate. 
  • Children aged 11 and above must pay full fare as an adult.
  • Peak season surcharge: Surcharge of $35 per person per night applies for travel date on 24/12 and 31/12 and $15 per person per night on Lunar New Year (16, 17, 18, 19, 20/02/2026).
  • On the second day you will travel on a day boat and do not have access to the mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon (for 3 days/2 nights itinerary)

Our hotel to be picked up from is Hotel De Lagom and after the cruise to be dropped off at JW Mariot Hotel Hanoi (this one is not in the old quarter), so what would you advise? If we do one way shuttle and one way private sedan? Regarding your drop-off at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, as it is not located in the Old Quarter, I would recommend booking a private car for a one-way transfer specifically for the drop-off after your cruise. This will ensure a seamless and convenient transfer directly to your hotel. You can absolutely book this private car service at a later time, whenever you have made your decision. Dear Gregor Lees, If you need to get to the airport, we have following options:

- Shuttle bus Halong - Hanoi & connecting car to the airport: US$ 30 for 2 persons => You will reach the airport at around 3:30 - 4:00pm
- Private car halong - Hanoi airport: US$ 100 for 2 persons => You will reach the airport at around 2:00 - 2:30pm

In case you wish to take the bus back to Hanoi center only, you will return Hanoi at around 3:00 - 3:30pm

The option with extra bed costs less than 2 cabins because the 3rd person will need to pay for a single cabin if taking a separate one. The program was well planned and organized. We kayaked in the bay, joined a cooking class, sunset party, squid fishing. We also booked a massage which was nice. The staff assisted every guest at any time. They worked hard to make the trip enjoyable. Thank you very much.

We had 1 night onboard. The bay was beautiful. The ship was clean. Dan is the best manager. All the staff was accommodating and polite.

The bay was captivating. We were lucky with the nice weather and the sunset on the bay was speechless. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very good
There were 3 of us. The staff was friendly. The food was nice. However drinks were expensive. Besides, the ship did not move very much but I guess all the ships were the same. Wifi did not work well.

My friend and I had a nice experience. The team, especially the cruise manager went above and beyond. The tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. The cabin was comfortable.

Excellent
2 days 1 night on Amanda Luxury were memorable. The staff made us feel at home and they took care of us all the time. The trip to the island was interesting. The kayaking was a must-try on Halong Bay. Highly recommended.
