Day 1: Tuan Chau - Halong Bay - Luon Cave - Titop Island
Morning

Get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area (surcharge) and start a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau harbor. Embark on the boat and check in your cabin. 

Afternoon

Savor a hearty lunch while Hermes Cruise sets sail to Halong Bay. The ship puts anchor at Luon Cave where you can participate in kayaking or relax on a sampan boat rowed by a local to admire the scenery. Later, progress to Titop Island for swimming and hiking. You can immerse in the seawater, relax on the sandy beach, or climb up over 400 steps to reach the peak and watch the panoramic view of Halong. Then, back to the vessel, enjoy Sun Set party, or book a massage service to pamper yourself. Early birds may want to join a Taichi class on the sundeck. Then, have breakfast and prepare some belongings for the day trip. Day boat picks you up at around 8:30 and moves to the deeper parts in Halong Bay. The first stop is Trinh Nu Cave area where you can kayak to discover the rocky mountains for an hour and a half.

Afternoon

Lunch is served on the day boat. Later, you will visit Me Cung Cave. Return to the mother boat and have free time until dinner. You can choose to join Sunset Party, Happy Hour, or cooking class, or simply unwind on the sun loungers on the top deck.

Evening

Enjoy a fusion set-menu dinner. Free time for night activities.

Cruise Policy

  • The FOC rate for children under 4 years old is applicable for 1 (one) child sharing a cabin with 2 (two) adults. Only 1 (one) child under 4 years old traveling with two (2) adults is allowed for FOC per cabin.
  • Children from 4-11 will pay extra charge 75% of adult rate.
  • Children 11 and above must pay full fare as adult.
  • Peak season surcharge: Surcharge $50/adult and $40/child for Gala dinner applies if guests stay on board on December 24th and/or December 31st 2024. Surcharge $25/person/night on Lunar New Year (28, 29, 30, 31/1/2025).
  • On the second day you will travel on day boat and do not have access to mother boat and your cabin until later in the afternoon.

Dear Mari, Yes, we do offer transfer Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi airport. Please kindly consider 2 following options:

- Shuttle bus Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi center & connecting car to the airport: US$ 25 for 3 persons => You will reach the airport at around 15:30 - 16:30
- Shuttle bus Hanoi - Halong & private car Halong - Noi Bai Airport: US$ 110 for 3 persons => You will reach the airport at around 14:00 - 14:30

Hi There, I just had a couple questions. My boyfriend and I were looking to do the 2 day/1 night cruise Oct 22 2024. We will be coming from Hanoi and then after the cruise are heading to Ninh Binh. I see the transfer is included, but is that just to/from to Hanoi? Or is it possible to have one way be to Ninh Binh? Also, I just wanted to confirm what the itinerary was, as I had checked this site, as well as the cruise’s own site and it seems that they don’t match up. Thank you so much for your help. Stacey

The disembarkation time at the pier will be at about 11:15-11:30am and if you use a private car to go straight to Hanoi Airport, you will only be able to reach the airport by 14:00. Dear Ting, Please note that in case of bad weather and the cruise is not allowed to sail (the decision is made by Halongbay Board Management), please kindly find our refund policy as follows: 

1/ If the tour is cancelled in advance with prior notice, full refund will be made.
2/ If the tour is cancelled midway through, you will be charged for service already use (such as shortened cruise trip, or breakfast, or shuttle bus, whichever applies in specific case).

The cruise organizer can arrange to arrange the bus for you one day earlier, however, please note that they will drop you off at the cruise pier and you will have to take a taxi to your hotel. You can book hotels in Tuan Chau Marina which is close to the waiting lounge, or a hotel in Bai Chay area, which is around 20-minute drive. As I have checked, the Junior Suite connecting rooms are still available and our offer is US$ 740 for 2 Junior Suite cabins with free shuttle service. I decided to stay 2N after hearing that 1N felt rushed, and it was definitely worth it. We had ample time to relax and take in the bay views. The well-trained staff served us a beautiful breakfast and provided a wealth of information through our tour guide, Mr. Lam. We loved the Spring Roll making lesson, Tai Chi class, and night squid fishing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
