Noon

From 11:450 – 12:00, Capella Cruises gives you a warm welcome at Tuan Chau Marina. After the check-in session, you move to the cruise by boat. The very first experience on Capella Cruise is a delightful buffet lunch at the fine dining restaurant - Harmony of the Sea (featuring a separate menu for vegetarians and special diets).

Afternoon

In the afternoon, Capella anchors for outdoor activities on the Ao Ech. Numerous entertaining facilities are available, listed as seasonal swimming pool, jacuzzi, floating ocean pool, inflatable water slide, kayak. Alternatively, you can bask in the warm sunlight on the Ocean Sky sundeck or relax at the mini-golf course. Visit Viet Hai Village on a bicycle or electric car. You have a chance to mingle with locals, watch a beautiful cave and lagoo, visit an ancient house, and try fish massage here. Later, continue to access the Ba Trai Dao Beach area where you can unwind on the pristine sandy beach or immerse in the crystal water of the bay.

Afternoon

Back to Capella Cruise. Lunch is served in the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant at around 13:00 pm. Later, enjoy a Vietnamese tea ceremony to understand about Vietnamese culture and tradition. Dear Ri Dominello, It takes about 2.5hours via expressway from Hanoi to Halong. The weather these days is good for sailing and all cruises are going on as planned. The weather is quite unpredictable this year. However, I can tell you from the last few years that the cruises are not cancelled often due to weather conditions. 
In the worst case, cancellation by the cruise for reasons related to a situation of force majeure, such as government restriction or regulation, health, natural disasters, acts of God, etc., customers will be refunded the amount depending on circumstances. If the tour has yet to take place, a full refund will be made. If the tour is ongoing, partial refund will be made. No refunds or exchanges can be made while the tour is ongoing and the customer decides to opt out. If you do not use any of the service, no compensation will be given for the unused portion of the tour.

1- Dinners are set menus with both seafood and non-seafood dishes cooked in local or fusion style.

2- The 2-night itinerary includes trips to Frog Lagoon, Viet Hai Village, Ba Trai Dao Beach, and Dark-Bright Cave.

3- There is no hiking activity in the program of Capella. You will kayak or take a sampan boat through the Dark - Bright Cave.

4- You will have one bottle of water per person for each night. If you want more drinks, you can purchase it from the bar.

Our bus can only drop off in Hanoi Old Quarter. If you wish to book a flight after the cruise trip, please book one after 5:30 pm to avoid rushing between places. OR you can fly from Hai Phong which is closer to Halong Bay; (2) It is normally cool but not cold at this time of the year; (3) The cost for wine is between $4-7 depending on what you take. I would like to answer your questions below: - As Japanese you do not need a visa if you stay in Vietnam less than 15 days - If you girlfriend has normal Chinese passport (not epassport) - please apply online for evisa: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/khai-thi-thuc-dien-tu/cap-thi-thuc-dien-tu Before Covid the visa on arrival system used to be in place and you could apply online for a visa letter ($25/person) and pay stamping fee ($25/person) at the airport. We have helped with the visa letter so you just need to pay $25/person stamping fee at the airport, therefore saving you on the approval letter fee. After Covid the immigration policy changes and we can only apply for the visa letter if guests book their whole trip in Vietnam with us. As you are only booking the Halong Bay trip so we are not eligible to apply for the visa letter for you. Instead the evisa system is in place and you pay $25/person for evisa fee. Dear Nat, Thank you for your email. Capella Cruise does not include hiking in its program. You will go to the Dark & Bright Cave - an underwater cave that you will go through by a kayak or sampan boat. Besides, you can swim or try some water activities from the cruise such as Oasis pool and jacuzzi; floating ocean pool, or an inflatable water slide. We regretted not booking 3 days 2 nights with Capella instead of 1 night =((. Luxury and sophistication spread on every corner of the boat. Lovely balcony, clean Jacuzzi, and modern Gym room. The landscape of Lan Ha was so beautiful, promising a must-travel when coming to Vietnam.

My family booked Capella online in a hurry, fortunately, our cabin was still available. We received confirmation of booking a short time later. The consultant helped us organize a private car to the pier. All information about the trip (from itinerary, staff, cabin to our information, voucher, deposit,...) is clarified through the Email, easy to follow. We had difficulty in paying the remaining balance by online link, she kindly suggested paying in cash and arranged to collect it right in our hotel. Throughout the journey, our tour guide - Mr. Gin was very knowledgeable and helpful, ensuring we had a funny, safe atmosphere while visiting the location. Thank you so much for the kindness.

Everything on The Capella Cruise was the holiday of a lifetime from start to finish. The driver came to pick us up at our hotel on time and the transfer was smooth and enjoyable. Cabins were top - notch, with elegant and modern interior details. We loved our Owner Suite with an extra large window and a private balcony, opening an airy atmosphere for us to enjoy the view from there. Appetizing food and unique facilities onboard such as the Jacuzzi, Golf club, Cigar & Poker club, made me never bored with this boat. The attentive staff made our proposal more meaningful and emotional. We planned to return to Capella for our wedding party next year.

The ship went to Lan Ha Bay and it was an incredible 2 days 1 night for us. The boat itself was spotlessly clean and luxurious. The room was spacious and lovely. The pool and water slide were fun. Specially, all the meals were faultless. We enjoyed so much of it. I’d highly recommend.

What a beautiful trip! The staff was helpful from the beginning until we left the boat. It must be the best cruise on the bay with its amazing rooms, modern facilities and 5-star service. Rooms with balcony and ocean view bathtub were outstanding. Overall very recommended!

We were so excited about the water activities in Halong bay such as kayaking, swimming, and Jacuzzi onboard. Our kids were overwhelmed by the diversity of marine life under the Halong sea such as colorful fish, jellyfish, and even vivid coral reefs. Kayaking is a must-try experience when you come to Halong Bay.
